two midwestern girls set off for a distant land, one they had only dreamed about. they reunited in denver and journeyed out with provisions, outfits and molasses cookies.
denver to wyoming. the air was bitter, the wind was blustery, there were no gas stations in sight. actually, there were. they just all happened to be closed for new year's celebrations.
thankfully, little america was ready to take our business. despite doubting the purpose of a "resort" in the middle of no-man's-land wyoming, we wholeheartedly appreciated their $.50 cones.

wyoming to utah. the mormons made sure we felt their sting with their signature roadsigns (10 points to the first comment explaining this wittyness - excluding wch & dsw). this state took our breath away.
utah to idaho. la quinta
made our day. but be warned. shoes must be worn to breakfast. darigold was eaten... a foreshadowing of what was yet to come.
shout out... marshie and woo. all we wanna do is just take yo money.
cheese curds, anyone? darigold came back into our lives with one uninformative cheese factory tour. this picture was taken pre-disappointment.
idaho to oregon. thankfully kid's meals still excite. although, they don't ease the pain of a missing root beer.
oregon to washington. mountains have arrived. through the pass and it came at last. a dreamy view of a pretty hue. sea/tac. oh snap.

It's as though we're right there, riding along in your back seat.
Outstanding.

awolgs... good to know our goal was accomplished. if we can't have you along for real, we'll take the blogging substitute.
Really wonderful pictures and quippy commentary. We were just glad that snow only showed up on the final frame. Loving you...thanks for making us proud.
Glad to see M.I.A made it onto the roadtrip mix.
I looked up tickets today for MLK weekend and they weren't too bad but then I realized thats the weekend Ry-Pie is here. Lo siento chickas.
Keep the updates coming :)
